While Zack initially appears to be fairly comfortable with himself and his sexuality, we slowly learn that this is a facade and the story of a teen who is completely tormented by his own attractions emerges. The two hit it off fairly good and a bromance emerges. Straight!? is a coming-of-age tale that follows the main character, Zack, from his first day of college after meeting his new straight roommate, Braden. The final vision is to create a new genre of visual novel called the “cinematic visual novel” where the game will focus on cinematic camera shots to convey the emotional story as opposed to the traditional sprite-based format. The game's visual and writing quality does slowly improve as the story unfolds.
Since the game is still in development, this is considered a rough draft and very pre-alpha. It is primarily created by one dev, working in tandem with a small team of friends to help support his first project.
It is free-to-play and is funded solely from donations to the project through sources like itch.io or Patreon. Straight!? is a work in progress visual novel that specifically focuses on NSFW male/male content.
